I Stole 100 of the Best Headlines to Give You for Free
Use these headlines to get more views overnight.
Why wouldn’t we copy the best headlines?
A good headline is what draws readers into what we’ve written. A good headline is what actually causes a person to go from a potential viewer to a viewer. A good headline is what gets you the “click.”
We know the value of good headlines - but where to find them?
I plead guilty your honor.
So I went to Medium and searched through various topics.
I sorted the stories by the “Best” stories for this year and for all time. These are the articles with the most views and engagement. I then simply “copied and pasted” 100 of the best headlines from the best stories.
It’s all right here in a Google Doc for you to use however you like - for FREE.
How should you use these headlines?
Don’t copy them exactly. Change it up a little, but keep the format the same.
For example, one of the headlines is “No One Really Tells You The Hardest Part Of Getting Older.” How could we change that?
Here are a few ideas:
No One Really Tells You The Hardest Part Of Losing a Child.
No One Really Tells You The Hardest Part Of Moving to a New Country.
No One Really Tells You The Hardest Part Of Quitting Cigarettes.
No One Really Tells You The Hardest Part Of Getting a New Job in Silicon Valley.
What are some of the hardest things you’ve ever faced in your life? Plug those things into that headline and write. You already know you have a great headline - so half the battle is already won before you ever start writing your story.
Don’t copy the 100 best headlines exactly.
Take them and make them your own.
Use these 100 headlines as the starting point for your own “swipe file.”
Copy and paste a headline into your swipe file whenever it catches your attention. If a headline catches your attention, it will also grab other people’s attention.
Once again, here is the “swipe file” right here in a Google Doc for you to use however you like - for FREE.
