Very interesting to hear your story. Medium has become full of writers producing articles of limited value, much I suspect generated by ChatGTP.
I am not renewing my annual subscription when it’s due in December.
Medium requires too much effort, and knowing it rewards Medium and not the writer, it’s time to leave.
I think a lot of writers are thinking along the same lines as you.
Is there an option to get a transcript of the podcast on Substack?
Yes, it automatically produces one when you upload a podcast now. You can choose whether or not you want to use it.

Correct - Substack generates the transcript, and then you get to decide if you want to use it or not.
